Location: Cala Pi is a small bay on the south coast of the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca. It is located in the southern part of the municipality of Llucmajor. The beach of Cala Pi is 50 meters wide and extends 125 meters into the gorge of the Torrent de Cala Pi. From the village of Cala Pi, a staircase leads down to the beach on the rocks of the eastern side. The beach is made of fine sand and is monitored by a wooden tower. The open sea, due to the curvature of the bay, can not be seen from the shore at the mouth of the Torrent de Cala Pi. In front of the west side of the beach are several boathouses, Catalan escars, and simple boat shelters. Occasionally smaller ships anchor in the shelter of the bay. Cala Pi is a residential area with a few small hotels. Many of the upscale family houses belong to foreigners, including Germans.
